Virginia L. Portz joined the Law Offices of Laird & Associates, PLLC in 2013 as an Associate Attorney. Virginia is a graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business Administration and a Minor in Legal Studies. Pursing a career in law was an easy decision for Virginia. She is a third generation attorney in her family and graduate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Being raised in a family of attorneys, it was only natural for her to gravitate towards a career in the legal field. Virginia was a Dean's list recipient at Thurgood Marshall School of Law and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Family Law Section; Houston Bar Association, Family Law Section; and the American Bar Association.
Her experience and education has instilled a great understanding of the work and dedication required to successfully represent clients and resolve legal issues in their best interest. Any legal matter typically involves strong emotions, but Virginia strives to ease her clients stress and anxiety during such a difficult time. She believes in zealously and virtuously defending the rights and interests of her clients and fuses her naturally competitive and strong-willed mentality with the integrity and beliefs she values in the practice of law. It is this unique combination of qualities and her compassionate nature that drive her need and desire to win for her clients.
Away from the office, Virginia enjoys personal time with her family and friends, bike riding, exercising, and playing with her dogs. She believes that an even balance between her work and personal life enhances her ability to be the best for her clients.
